University of Utah Business Vice President's Office records 1953-1967

The office of Business Vice President was created in 1953 to alleviate problems associated with post-war expansion by centralizing control of administrative services. During the period covered by these records, Elmo R. Morgan (1953-1959) and Paul W. Hodson (1959-1967) served as Business Vice President. In 1967 the name of the office was changed to Business, Finance, and Construction Vice President and it was placed under the new office of the Executive Vice President. The functions of the office were redistributed over the next several years, mainly to the new offices of Administrative Vice President or Financial Vice President. This collection contains budgets, reports, meeting minutes, correspondence, and memoranda. The principal subjects covered are finances and campus planning.
